Director

Bill Bolen joined Homrich Berg in 2009 as a Director.  Bill is a leader in the firm's Family Office practice and also leads Marketing efforts for the firm.  He also provides leadership for Investments in the areas of overall investment strategy and alternative investments, including writing economic and investments commentaries for the firm and speaking regularly about these topics including appearances on CNBC.

Prior to joining Homrich Berg, Bill served most recently as CFO of the Terwilliger Family Office and as President/COO of the Atlanta Dream WNBA sports franchise.  Bill brings a wide range of expertise to the firm, ranging from family office management and investment management to executive advisory services and professional services management.  He started his professional services career as a manager at McKinsey & Company's Atlanta office before co-founding The DaVinci Group, a strategy and marketing consulting firm based in Atlanta that eventually became TopRight.

An active member of the community, Bill previously served on the board for Mount Paran Christian School as Vice Chairman for ten years and also previously served on the Murray Arts Center Board of Directors, the Board of Advisors for The Network, and the Community Advisory Board for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  Bill now currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership and the Board of Advisors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce where he also serves on the Transportation Committee.  He is an active supporter of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Piedmont Park Conservancy, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Museum of Design Atlanta, and High Museum of Art.

During his career, Bill has been responsible for leading the consulting effort for a number of metro Atlanta initiatives to improve the quality of life and economic growth.  These initiatives include the Metropolitan Atlanta Transportation Initiative, Southeastern Economic Alliance for High Speed Rail, Metro Atlanta Biotech Task Force, Regional Education Task Force, Mayor's Living Wage Task Force, Beltline Partnership, Mayor's Affordable Workforce Housing Task Force and Peachtree Corridor Task Force. 

Bill was chosen as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle's Top 40 Under 40 in 2008 and has been featured in articles in The New York Times, Atlanta Business ChronicleAtlanta Journal Constitution, Georgia Trend, Business to Business and TechLinks in addition to appearances on CNBC and local Atlanta television stations.

Bill received his M.B.A. with distinction from the Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in marketing where he received the Outstanding Senior Award for the University.
